Got to you through your breast cancer blog and just had to write. I am a freelancer who also writes fairly often for SELF (May issue, Alternative Medicine story)and a "Chicken Soup" veteran (Working Mother's Soul).
Was looking at the blog because I had a needle biopsy reveal something called flat epitheal atypia which apparently has a fairly good chance of being DCIS.
So after years of writing about other people's problems I'm having a bit of a freak out moment! Perhaps we should say "change is good, but not at the cellular level."
Anyway, you have inspired me to revive my own blog, which is like my most neglected child - (no wait, that's my never-finished novel!) I will definitely check in on your blog and check out your "SELF" stuff.
BTW,in terms of wine I like those big, fruity reds the Wine Spectator seems to favor, but will pretty much drink anything....habit developed at the University of Virginia many years ago.
